Lily Kandaris is originally from New York City. She is a former professional ballet/modern dancer and has had over 20 years of experience performing, choreographing, and teaching dance. Dance is what led Lily into the massage world, first as a client. It was the only therapy that had helped her fully recover from long hours of rehearsals and performances and many hours of teaching classes. As she traveled and learned about different types of massage and bodywork from many other cultures, Lily became fascinated with Asian Bodywork. Eventually, Lily attended the Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy in Scottsdale, Arizona, and has been practicing since 2011. Most of her continuing education has been studying Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release modalities, and Asian bodywork. This combination culminates in what Lily finds works best in releasing tension and restoring balance in the body, mind, and spirit. She also teaches Cupping Therapy to other Licensed Massage Therapists, which is her favorite modality. Lily has worked with professional athletes, including Olympic-level Ice Dancers, Figure Skaters, Ballet Dancers, NFL players, MLB players, Triathletes, and a professional women’s soccer team. She has worked in massage, chiropractic, and Physical Therapy offices as well as the Phoenix Country Club. Lily has been in private practice for many years, helping her clients find relief from pain. When Lily is not in the massage studio, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and cats. Lily enjoys working out, practicing yoga, and meditation. She enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and going to the beach.
